Labeling profiles
Labeling is a key component of any design. When you think about it, your design is only as good as its ability to convey your design intent to the person using it to construct your vision. Labeling is a big part of that because it provides the key values and instructions that will be used to reconstruct your design in the field. In this video, we'll look at three different ways to provide labels on your profiles and profile views. We'll start by looking at the first type of label, which is actually a label set. To see the label set and how it's configured, I'll click a profile. And then click Edit Profile Labels on the contextual ribbon. And what I see here is actually a list of labels. The styles and the configuration for each one. So each of the lines here is a type of label. And that label is applied throughout the entire profile. So wherever Civil 3D encounters a grade break, it will apply that label. A crest curve, it will apply that label. In this case, a style called crest and…
