Editing using the Layout tools
- You've seen how to edit what you've already created but what if you need to add to your pipe network? Let's see how this is done. In my current drawing, I'm looking at the parking lot and the building and I'm thinking, I'm going to need to collect drainage from the building and pick it up in this location and carry it to my main stormline where it can then proceed to the detention pond. So what I'd like to do is make a simple addition to my network. I want to add a manhole here, a manhole here and a pipe that connects the two. So how do I do that? We've seen, like I said, how to make changes to what's already there but how do I add to a network that's already there? Well, a common mistake is to go to Pipe Network and then Pipe Network Creation Tools because this command gives you the tools you need to create new pipes and structures but the mistake here is that you don't want to create a new network. You want to add to one that already exists. So how do you get to those same tools…
