Editing pipe networks using properties

- You've seen how to edit pipe networks graphically. But what if you have exact design values in mind, and you want to apply them? There are several ways to make these kinds of edits. And in this video, we'll look at using Properties. Let's take a look at structures first. And there are actually two different ways to get at the properties of a pipe or a structure. If I select a structure, the first way is to go up to the Structure Properties command, here on the contextual ribbon tab. I can also right-click, and pick Structure Properties. Each one will give me the same result, which is the Structure Properties dialog. Here I've got several tabs. On the Information tab I can change basic things like the style. On the Part Properties tab, here's were I can really dig in and affect some specific values that relate to the structure. You can see things like the Reference Surface, the Reference Alignment. specific values that affect the geometry, like the Sump Depth. And even the size of…
