Editing feature line PIs

- [Instructor] Now that you know how to create feature lines, let's take a look at how to edit them. We'll begin with editing points of intersection, or PIs. Let's start with grips. If I click the feature line in this drawing, you'll notice that grips appear at certain points along the feature line. These grips are actually at the PI locations, and really a PI is just a fancy way to refer to a vertex along this feature line. The grips on these PIs behave exactly as you'd expect. If I click a grip, I can stretch it to a new location and the segments that are attached to that grip will move with it. Now one difference with a feature line, something you can't do with a polyline, polylines by the way are flat, they can only occupy one elevation or one plane. Now, there is a special AutoCAD object called a 3D Polyline which can in fact occupy different elevations, but those you won't find very commonly in most AutoCAD drawings.
