Editing a design profile numerically
Sometimes, you will want to be very precise in the way that you edit profiles, by providing exact numerical values for things like vertical curve length, PVI elevations and so on. In this video, we'll look at two methods for numerically editing your profiles to really refine your design and get things exactly where they need to be. To do this, we'll launch the tool called Geometry Editor. And I'll do that by clicking a profile and then clicking Geometry Editor to bring the Profile Layout Tools toolbar up on my screen. You may recognize this toolbar as the same toolbar that you use to create the profile in the first place. The first tool we'll look at is this one here. Profile Layout Parameters. I'll click the tool and that opens the Profile Layout Parameters dialog. Which right now is empty, because I haven't selected any sub-entities in the profile. The first choice I'll need to make is how do I want to select components of my profile. Based on PVI's or based on entities. For now…
