Define the building pad

- [Voiceover] As discussed in an earlier video, the building pad is a flat area where the home will be constructed. In this video you'll see how to define the area that will become the building pad. So here we have lot one and from the previous video we've assigned elevations to our parcel lines so they are properly set to the road elevations in the front and the existing elevations in the back and each individual lot will have its own building pad. So how do we draw that? How do we create that? Well it's actually pretty simple. I'm just going to use the rectangle command. So up here in my Draw menu, the rectangle command is there or I can type in the word, "rectang" in or "rectangle" on the command line. That'll work but I'm just gonna go through the process of drawing a rectangle and our dimensions that we're going to use for this particular project is going to be a 60 foot long by 50 foot deep building pad.
