- [Instructor] With the curbs in place, it's now time to tie everything into existing ground elevations. Now, it's not a good practice to slope right off the back of the curb into existing ground. So we want to create a little bit of a flat space behind the curb so that you're not doing just that. You're not just tying straight down from the back. So I'm going to use the Stepped Offset command one more time off the back of the curb and I'm going to offset two feet and I'm going to go to the outside, add a grade of, so I'll click Grade, of 2%. So just again, establishing a little bit of an offset there and I'm going to change the style of that feature line. I'm going to go to Feature Line Properties and I'm going to change that to a Site Grading Construction Line because it's not a curb line and I don't want it to get mistaken as one. Okay.
