Creating section views

Section views are used to display the section information that is generated by sample lines. In this video, you'll learn how to create individual section views as well as multiple section views, arranged in sheets. Let's start with individual section views, and the scenario here is, let's say you're looking at a specific area of your design, and you want to see what the section looks like at that one location. For example, here at station 29 plus 50, maybe we want to get a closer look at these ditches and just how they interact with the surrounding terrain. So, we can click the sample line and then launch the Create Section View command right here. This brings up a dialog and because I've selected a sample line first, the information or a lot of the information is already filled in, for example, which alignment, which sample line group, and which sample line. Civil 3D actually recognized that I picked the sample line at station 29 plus 50, and just went ahead and provided that…
