Applying pipe rules

- In the previous video, you saw how to create a rule set to check the cover and slope of your storm pipes. Let's apply that rule set, and see how our design is doing so far. So to apply the rule set that we created, all we need to do is get into the panorama view for our pipe network. And if you recall, to do that, I'll click on a pipe, or structure, click Edit Pipe Network, and then click the icon to open Panorama. I want to go to the Pipes tab, because that's where I want to apply the rule set, and you can see the in the Rule Set column, it's all set to Basic. It's interesting to point out that a rule set is applied to each individual pipe and structure in a network. It's not applied to the network as whole, and that gives you the flexibility to maybe have a different rule set for concrete pipes than you do for HDPE pipes, even if they're in the same network.
