Creating an alignment from a pipe network
- In the previous video, you saw how to had pipes and structures to a Profile View in the drawing. But what if there is no Profile View? Or even an alignment for the pipe network? Here's what you do. Again, referring back to our previous video. If you remember, we have a pipe network along the road. And we actually just used the Profile View of the road as the place to house our pipe network. But if we look at this pipe network that's associated more with a parking lot, it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to project that onto the road's profile view. So we want to make it's own alignment and profile view strictly dedicated for this pipe network. So how do you do that? Well luckily there are some commands that make that easy with a little bit of automation built in. So I'll start by clicking the first structure on the far left end of my pipe network. And then on the contextual ribbon tab, I'll choose Alignment from Network. I'll pan down to the opposite end of the pipe network,…
