Creating an FG surface
- [Instructor] With the parking lot grading complete it's time to combine it with other grading in the drawing. Let's see how this is done. Now before we jump into this I want to explain how important it is to do your grading or your overall sight grading design in stages. We have a very simple example of that here where prior to us getting into this course somebody has gone in and done the design grading for the road already, now that was done with a completely different tool set, the corridor tool set. But that really doesn't matter to the point I'm trying to get across. The idea being the road design grading was done separately and we came in after the fact and did the site design grading. And within the site design grading remember that even that was done in stages. We did the interior parking lot, we did the extra grading around the building to handle draining and then we did the tie in slopes all as separate mini stages within that design.
