Create a right of way
- [Voiceover] Create Right of Way is a lesser known command but it can come in quite handy if you've approached the creation of your lots and alignments in the right way. Let's see how this works. In our drawing here, we've got two long narrow parcels. Here, and here. And the way these parcels were created is this single long narrow parcel, was subdivided by this short piece of alignment. And what made that possible is that the alignment and these parcel segments are in the same site. If you remember, objects in the same site interact with one another, and if we're talking about parcels and alignments, if an alignment crosses through a parcel, it will subdivide it into two or more parcels. So that's what's happened here. The reason it's so important to point that out is because if the alignment and parcel segments are not in the same site, this command I'm about to show you won't work. So let's see how it does work. I'll click the parcel drop-down and then click Create Right of Way…
