Building the corridor

Once you have your alignment, profile and assembly in place. Now it's time to build the corridor. In this video, you'll see how just easy it is to turn these fundamental components into an impressive 3D model of your road design. I'll start by jump in right in and launching the corridor command on the home tab of the ribbon. Because again, I'm creating a new Civil 3D object. I'm being asked to provide some information about that object. First, the name of my corridor. And I'm going to call this Shady Ridge Lane, which happens to be the name of the road that it's going to represent. I can provide a description if I want. I can also choose a style for the corridor. That will control the way it looks. For now, basic is just right for the application that I want. A very important choices that I pick the right alignment. The alignment that I want this corridor to be based on. And just as important is that I select the right profile. I've got two profiles associated with this alignment. One…
