Breaking and joining feature lines

- [Instructor] Let's continue with our study of editing feature lines by looking at breaking and joining. Now, as you might guess, there are specialized commands for breaking and joining feature lines. And you can try to use the AutoCAD versions, but they simply won't work. To see what they are, I'll just go ahead and click on a feature line here and you'll see them on the Edit Geometry panel. Here's Break and here's Join. But, before we get into using them, I just want to talk about kind of a common scenario where you might be led to join or break feature lines. I used some geometry elsewhere in the drawing to draw a line and offset it and draw some other things adjacent to it. And you can see that, in plan view, it looks good, but, when I look at it in 3D view, we're not all at the same elevation here. And, typically, when you're talking about joining polylines, that would be a problem. But, remember, we're dealing with feature lines here. And we learned a little bit about their…
