Assigning surface elevations to a feature line

- [Instructor] Yet another useful skill when performing grading design is assigning elevations to a feature line, that have come from a surface. Let's see how it's done. The command is pretty simple and pretty straightforward. All I do is select the feature line that I want to modify, and you can see currently this feature line only has one, two, three, four elevation points on it. Three PVIs, and one elevation point, so that's all that's defining the elevations for this feature line, and I'll zoom out just a bit, or actually pan over just a bit so we can see the entire feature line on this side. What I'm going to do now, is launch the Elevations from Surface command. That brings up a dialogue where I can select which surface I'm using. In this particular drawing there is only one option, and that's EG. And a very important option down here is do I want to insert Intermediate grade break points.
