Assigning grading scheme elevations
- [Instructor] For the next phase, we'll use our 2% surface to establish elevations on the parking lot perimeter feature line. As you're about to see, this is going to be pretty easy because we've done the hard work in the previous video by creating this 2% surface. All I need to do, remember I've got a feature line here already, I simply need to select that feature line, go to the Elevations from Surface command, select my 2% surface, I can even pick it off the screen. Notice the check box which says, "Insert intermediate grade break point," so any place that my surface TIN triangles cross the feature line, it's going to create an additional surface point. Now normally that would be really important, but this surface is so simple, we can see there's only one triangle edge crossing through the feature line over here. It's not really going to create that many extra points so we really don't need it in this case, but I'll go ahead and click OK. Select the feature line, and you saw it…
