- [Russell] Hello, and I'd like to welcome you to Infrastructure Services for ICND2, version three. Now I'm Russell Long, and I've been working professionally in IT for over 17 years now. I've served in several roles over my career, starting as a Layer One Splicing Tech with copper and fiber, and ending my career as a Network Administrator. Now, I want to go over what we're going to actually cover in this course so you're kind of prepared on what we're going to be discussing and the different technologies we're going to be diving into.
In this course, we're going to cover some of the infrastructure services offered by Cisco Equipment. Our focus will be on medium-sized networks. We will look at the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of many of these services that Cisco offers. Now, we're not going to have time to dive into everything, so think of this as a basic introduction into some of those services offered by Cisco Equipment. Now, specifically, what services are we talking about here? We're going to be looking at things like Hot Standby Routing Protocol, or HSRP.
We're going to be looking at cloud resources. We're going to be looking at quality of service, and access control lists. Those are just some of the things we're going to be delving into. Like we said, this is a mid-level course, so we're going to cover it at a mid-level detail. We're not going to dive way down the rabbit hole. We'll save that later for more in-depth courses that you may take later on in your Cisco career. So, we have a great deal to cover here, so let's go ahead and get started.
