- In this video, we're going to take a look at TFTP, that's the Trivial File Transfer Protocol. And the reason that we're going to take a look at TFTP, other than it being on the blueprint for the CO Core Exam, a TFTP is going to be used for several different things in our Cisco unified communications environment. And something to understand about TFTP is that unlike FTP it does not require authentication. You don't put a username and a password. You just point to the appropriate server and the directory, specify the file name and you can download a file that's stored on a TFTP server. It does use UDP, so it's a connectionless, unreliable protocol that's carrying our traffic and our Cisco unified communications manager server, it can act as a TFTP server. It's one of those services that we can start up or shut down. And in our example we're going to be running a TFTP server service on our publisher server. And some…
