- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to continue with our pursuit of a device pool configuration. Remember that a device pool, that's going to be assigned to an IP phone and that's going to allow that IP phone to inherit several different settings. We're going to set up some more of those base settings in this video. Specifically, we want to create media resource groups, MRGs and media resource group lists, MRGLs. And a media resource is something that a phone might use to set up a conference call, something to blend together the different audio streams or maybe video streams. We might need a transcoding media resource. Transcoders, they're going to convert between one codec like ILBC, and another codec like g.711 and the communications manager server, it's not going to have enough power on its own to do that.
