- [Instructor] A software based client that we might have in a Cisco unified communications environment is Cisco Jabber. And Cisco Jabber can run as an application on a variety of platforms, including at desktops or laptops running Microsoft Windows or Mac iOS. By the way, when we set this up inside of Cisco unified communications manager and we define a phone and that phone is referring to Jabber running on a platform. Cisco says, if we're using this Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac client, then the device name should begin with C-S-F that's short for client services framework. We could also run Jabber on Apple's iPhone. And when you're installing this type of device instead of saying you're installing a client services framework device you say that you're installing dual mode for iPhone and the device name that you configure for Cisco Jabber running on the iPhone, begins with a T-C-T.
