- [Instructor] Switching is the gateway for all modern network communication. I'm Greg, and I've been building networks worldwide for over 10 years. In this course, I'll discuss using HSRP and VRRP to provide fault-tolerant gateways for hosts. I'll cover how Gateway Load-Balancing Protocol can provide gateway redundancy while also providing load balancing. I explore using port security to secure MAC addresses on interfaces. 802.1X and its host authentication methods are reviewed.
I show how storm control is used to limit flooding. System hardening is explored with password protection. Web administration and default port best practices. VLAN security is considered with VLAN VACLs and private VLANs. Spoofing prevention is discussed with DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard, and Dynamic ARP Inspection. Last, I cover Centralized User Administration with Cisco's Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting system. I'm ready to rock, so grab your gear and let's get started with CCNP Switching (300-115) Cert Prep: 2 Infrastructure Security and Services.
