Policy-based routing (PBR)

Policy-based routing (PBR)
- Normally a router makes a packet-forwarding decision based on a packet's destination IP address. However there might be times that we want specific traffic to be routed differently than what the IP routing table is telling us. Maybe for a security reason, a performance reason, for some sort of a design reason. We can actually override the instructions on the IP routing table using a feature called policy-based routing or PBR. And in this section, we're going to talk about the theory of PBR and take a look at its configuration.
