OSPFv3 traditional configuration

OSPFv3 traditional configuration

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to configure OSPF Version 3 using a traditional approach, and here's what I mean by a traditional approach. We're going to have OSPF Version 2 and OSPF Version 3 running sort of in parallel, side by side with one another. OSPF Version 2 is already configured on these routers. If I do a show IP route, you can see that I've learned some OSPF routes. So OSPF Version 2 is going to be used just for IPv4 routes, and in parallel with that, we're going to configure OSPF Version 3 to route IPv6 routes. And I say that this is a traditional approach, because we're going to see in an upcoming video that there's another approach called the address families approach. And that approach let's us create a single OSPF routing process, and underneath that single process, we create an address family for IPv4, and we're going to get started here on R1. Let's go into global configuration mode. And the first thing we have to do if we want to route IPv6 networks is…
