In order to communicate with the outlying networks,…routes must either be statically configured,…that means you, the network administrator,…have to enter them, or they can be dynamically learned…through a routing protocol.…I am first going to show you how to configure a static route…to one of the remote networks in the topology…using the next hop IP address,…and then I will show you how to configure a static route…using the exit interface argument.…I will also demonstrate how to configure…a static default route,…which is a very special type of route…
