Blocking in the back and neck
- Large organic structures like our creature's back and neck can be difficult to create a well-defined edge flows on it. You'll find that the back of the neck and the shoulders have a lot of edges and loops converging in those areas and you'll need to make some decisions on how you want to connect those loops. So what I'm talking about there is, basically, the neck is this huge structure on our guy. It's a lot bigger than on a normal person but our minotaur here works out quite a bit, so, the shoulders have to kind of collide into those neck and back muscles, the same with the chest. You can see here it's just kind of this big mass that we've drawn but we want to make sure that those edge loops at least flow across that mask comfortably. On our creature, we haven't done the back yet. See, there's a big whole back there, so we're going to move those edges up and over, and at the same time, complete those shoulders there. We got to clean up our scene a little bit to do that because…
