For members who have access to the course exercise files, this video informs you about how they are set up and the best way to use them.
- [Instructor] For those of you who have access to the exercise files, I have a really nice catalog for you. And lots of goodies in here, a place for me to show you all the different techniques. But there's a few things you should keep in mind about this catalog, and one of them is that you receive it in the finished state. In other words, everything that I did over the course of the training, as I prepared this for you, is represented in this catalog. So if you look at a movie in chapter one, for instance, these might not be there as I scroll through the pictures because I created them later on, in a later chapter when I was talking about black and white or variants or something like that. So make sure you keep that in mind so you don't get disoriented if you scroll through the catalog. And then the other thing is that images that I worked on, they're in a finished state in this catalog. So take this shot, for example. It has some layers and it has some adjustments made, and I did stuff everywhere. So there's a couple things to keep in mind. One is, at any time, if you want to see what the original shot looked like, all you have to do is hold down the Option key on the Mac or the Alt key on Windows and go up here to the reset, and you can always see the original image. Now, the other thing to keep in mind is that if you want to follow along as I work on it, you can reset the image just by clicking the reset button without the key modifier, or by going up to Adjustments and choosing Reset. And then you can just follow along. That will take the image back to its original state. And that would be true for any of these shots that you see in here, that I worked on. So you can follow along if you want. For instance, in the earlier movies, there won't be star ratings on many of the photos. There won't be color tags, there won't be all that kind of stuff. So just keep in mind that what you're receiving is a catalog in the finished state. One other thing I want to show you before we get going. Right here is what the exercise files will look like. Everything is inside this container right here. The master files are in there, the editing, the metadata, the ratings, all that. So, really, all you have to do is copy this onto your computer, double click on it, and then it will launch Capture One Pro 12 and this catalog. And if you start switching between catalogs, that's okay. Just remember that this is the name of this catalog here so that you can always come back to the exercise files, as needed. Alright, I think that will get us out of dodge. I'm really excited about all this stuff and I hope you are, too.
