Lock a catalog

- [Voiceover] I wanna show you Lock Catalog,…but I'm not gonna do it on our exercise files catalog.…In part 'cause I'm paranoid (chuckes).…I mean, what if it stuck or what if I undid it…and didn't really undo it,…and then those exercise files went out to everyone,…and it was locked and you couldn't do anything.…Oh, what a mess, I don't even wanna mess with that.…I know that won't happen,…but we're gonna play with our combined catalog…just for this one little exercise here.…So, Lock Catalog, let's go it it.…And I wanna bring up the message that it gives us.…

And basically what it says:…it can be opened by multiple users simultaneously,…but changes cannot be made to the catalog while it's locked.…Nice, so if you have it on a server…or some sort of shared environment,…you wanna be in control of it in terms of the changes,…but you wanna give others access to it for viewing,…this is the way that you do it.…So let's go ahead and click Lock.…Now, we get the message…the catalog is locked and cannot be modified.…It may have been locked to allow multiple users…
