There are some key settings that you must be aware of when importing images into Capture One Pro 12. Those settings determine the type of catalog you are running, either managed or referenced catalogs. In this video, instructor Derrick Story shows how to choose the right settings on import for the type of catalog you want to run and introduces some new features.
- [Instructor] One of the first things … that you're going to want to do … is get some images in Capture One Pro 12, … so you can start playing with them, … organizing them, making them look prettier. … Now, where I start is up here at the import images icon, … that's in the upper left hand corner. … And, what I did right now is I put a card from my camera … into the computer, so when I click on import images, … it will show me those images on that card. … Now, I could also direct this dialogue box … to a hard drive and bring in images that way. … And, I would just go down here to choose folder. … If you have a memory card loaded into your computer, … it will start with that, but you can direct it … to other places as well. … Now, I have the box for include sub-folders checked … and that way Capture One Pro will look down … into any nested folders and find all those images, … so that everything shows up over here … on the right side in the browser. … And, I'm going to have these images go inside the catalog …
