What should I know before taking this course?
- To get the most out of this course, it's assumed that you already have a basic level of ability within Adobe Captivate. You'll need to be able to move around within the program and understand the concept of content appearing as slides in the Filmstrip. You should be familiar with the different types of objects that you can add to Captivate slides, such as buttons, highlight boxes, and text captions. You should also understand how the timeline works, and how to control the timing of objects on the screen. If you're not familiar with these concepts, you might want to start first with one of the Essential Training or Up and Running courses for Captivate right here on lynda.com. Some of the tools and techniques explored in this course are available only in the most recent versions of Captivate, namely Captivate 6 and 7. Things that are only available in Captivate 7 will be identified. Many items are still available in older versions, however. With that, let's jump right in.
