Using lightboxes

- Now let's start creating some real interactions using advanced actions and variables. The most used interactions in the eLearning courses are Lightboxes. So why not start with this interaction? We usually add lightboxes to the screens for one of these reasons. The most likely reason is to provide additional information related to the content on the screen. This information is important, but not as much to take up the real estate on the screen. It also doesn't lend itself well to take up the entire next screen. Another reason is to provide some contextual information related to the content covered on the screen. In order to make the context clear, its important to show this information on the same screen, rather than placing it on the following screens. For example, meaning or explanation of terms used on the screen. One more great reason to use lightboxes is to make the information available throughout the course.
