Recording a hybrid simulation - Captivate Tutorial
From the course: Captivate: Advanced Techniques
Recording a hybrid simulation
- To record a software simulation that incorporates the aspects of both demonstrations and assessment simulations that we want, we’re going to have to set some of our preferences for Captivate, so with no projects in Captivate open, I’m gonna go to the ‘Edit’ menu and then ‘Preferences...’ On Mac that’s the ‘Adobe Captivate’ menu then ‘Preferences...’ We’ve been here before. We set some of these preferences earlier in the course. And know that because no project is open, the settings we set here are, again, the global settings for Captivate, so any projects we create from here on out will use the selections that we set here. To start I’m going to click on the ‘Recording’ category. Our preferences on this screen here are gonna be pretty much what we set previously. We’ll be recording our captions in English, and deselect ‘Narration,’ ‘System Audio’ and ‘Actions in Real Time.’ We’ll leave ‘Camera Sounds’ on so we hear that sound every time we click while recording. It’s pretty important…
