Publishing for an LMS

- Before a project can be used in a Learning Management System, or LMS, you have to set up some reporting options and become familiar with some concepts. To do this, we'll be working in our kinetEcoProducts file. This is a short project with a three-question quiz at the end. The first concept to get familiar with is that of Sharable Content Objects, or SCOs. SCOs are standardized reusable learning objects. An LMS can communicate with SCOs and interpret instructions that tell it what to show a user and when to show it. Your Captivate projects become SCOs once you enable reporting for an LMS. To enable reporting for an LMS, you have to go to the Quiz menu and then Quiz Preferences. What this really does is drop you in the Captivate Preferences box that we looked at previously in this course. It's just opened up to the Quiz area.
