Inserting silence

- [Instructor] Try this out when you'd like to add a pause or extra silence into an existing audio clip. First, get to the Edit Audio window in Captivate. One way is to select the audio clip in the library, right click, and choose Edit with Adobe Captivate. Another way, if you're using closed captioning in tandem with audio, is to use the slide notes panel. Click the Closed Captioning button. Then click the Edit tab. Use the Play/Pause button to listen to your audio and find the exact spot you want to add silence. Click the waveform to position the red playhead at the right spot. Click the Insert Silence button. Now specify how many seconds of silence you'd like to add. Click the drop-down labeled At to add the silence at the playhead position, the start of audio, or the end of audio.
