Customizing the device sizes

As we start working with responsive layouts, the first step is make sure you know the size of screens that you'll be designing for. The standards when you start a responsive project are the primary screen being 1024 pixels wide. The tablet view being 768 pixels wide. And the mobile view being 360 pixels wide. These are pretty good starting points unless you have good justification for changing them, such as you know that everyone has an iPhone and you want to design exactly at the iPhone resolution, for either portrait or landscape. If you do want to change one of these resolutions, you can simple do it by grabbing one of the anchors on the right or left hand side, and simply dragging it out bigger. For example, if I wanted to change this to, let's say, 450 for my mobile view, I could do that. Now I notice as I drag it out, elements on the page which we've not yet configured, are also responding to the new size. I'm going to go ahead and make this 320 again. If I come back out to the…
