Creating a shared action
- Captivate allows you to save Advanced Actions and reuse them across multiple projects or multiple objects in the same project using different parameters. Let's see how to create and use Shared Actions. We are in the Shared_Start project, you can access it from the Exercise Files folder under Chapter 03 folder. This project is the same project that we used in the last video. Let's see how we can use Shared Actions instead of Advanced Actions to reduce the number of actions we need to write. Let's get started. We will go to Project, Advanced Actions. Here, you can either select an existing Advanced Action and convert it into a Shared Action or you can start writing your script. We already have an Existing Action so I'll go ahead and select that. We'll select English and that will show me the actions. Now, we need to click Save As Shared Action. Here, we need to write the Shared Action Name. Let's go ahead and write the name as SubjectButton. In the Description, write a description…
