- Captivate offers you a way to add movement to the objects on your slides via effects. We'll check the effects out by working in this KinetEco products file from earlier in the course. We'll be on the last slide. I'll select the text box that says Good Job. Now, I'll open up the transition area in the properties panel. In this version of the project, note that this text box and the one that says You're so bright!, don't fade in. They just appear on the slide at the beginning with no transition or fade in at all. So I'm gonna select the "Great job! You've completed this training." text box. Notice in the timeline that it appears on screen for almost five and a half seconds. Now, I'll go to the Window menu and choose Effects. The effects panel has it's own timeline and notice that the textbox on this timeline shows that it's on screen for almost five and a half seconds.
