Adding shapes
In addition to adding images to our slides, we can also add shapes. Shapes are a great way to create a background, let's say, for another image. In this video, we're going to go ahead and add the university logo in the upper right hand corner. Now the university logo has some blue in it, and so if I just put it directly on top of this blue box, it wouldn't look very good. In order to help the logo stand out, I'm going to create a white rectangle with rounded corners that we can place our logo on. If you're just joining us, you can pick up with this movie by opening up the adding shapes starting Captivate 8 project in the chapter two folder of the exercise files. I've also opened up the final project folder so we can take a look at what we'll be creating. See here on the second slide we can see what our goal is. We've got the Orange Valley University logo on top of a white box. Let's head back to our adding shapes starting file, and let's go and create this box. Now the shapes drop…
