Hotspots allow you to make your elearning storyboard more interactive by creating areas which—when pressed—bring the user to a specific slide in the deck.
- [Instructor] You can make your Captivate Draft storyboards…more interactive by adding hotspots.…Let's take a look at what hotspots are.…I want to do this by going to a project…that I've already started creating called Plant Structures.…So, on here, I created a couple different hotspots,…one for leaves and one for roots.…Now, what a hotspot is is an area on the slide…where, when pressed or touched,…it brings you to another slide within the presentation,…one that the creator has assigned…for that particular hotspot.…
Now, in this example, let's take a look at this.…I'll go to the top and press Play,…and, if I click on the Roots rectangle right now,…you'll notice that it brings me to the Roots slide.…So, just like that, I have the option…to decide where I wanted to go,…I clicked on it, and it brought me directly there.…So, next, let's take a look…at how you can create hotspots on your storyboard.…I'm going to go back to my main menu…and let's go back to the project that we were creating.…Now, here, on the Photosynthesis slide,…
