- [Instructor] There may be times in which you need to convey information, but don't necessarily need to be recording the computer screen. Sometimes, by showing a certain program and then talking about something else can be extremely confusing for the learner. An effective way to deal with this is by using slides, such as PowerPoint or Keynote slides. Providing slides with text or images while explaining a concept is often more effective than just speaking while showing a random screen if you're not doing anything. For these situations, I recommend that you create slides. Now, there are several times that I utilize slides in this course. For example, in an earlier chapter, I had this one on understanding your audience that I could play and then click through, and show the different points that I wanted to give.
