Using transitions
- Transitions allow us to seamlessly bring content into and out of the frame, and smooth over the visual rough cuts between media on our timeline. They tell our brains to accept that a change is taking place in the story, and how to interpret that change. Now Camtasia, gives us 31 different transitions to choose from. You can preview any transition by parking a mouse over it on the panel. And transitions are always applied to the ends of clips, to either bring us into a clip, or take us out of a clip. And there are four ways to apply a transition. Now the first way is to drag a transition on to the end of a clip. As soon as you begin dragging a clip, everywhere that you can apply a transition is highlighted in yellow. As you hover over the end of one of the clips, the transition icon appears, letting you know that you have the right spot.
