Using markers

- [Voiceover] Markers are one of the most useful tools that you have at your disposal when editing your screencasts. Think of markers as sticky notes for your timeline, and there's a special track that's dedicated to them. To view the track, go up to the View menu and select Show Marker Track, or press ctrl + M on your keyboard. There are two types of markers: timeline markers and media markers. To set a timeline marker, move your mouse to the small bar that's just above your timeline and notice that a green light appears to follow your mouse and a thin vertical line shows you the precise point on all of your tracks that intersect with that point. As you move your mouse close to your playhead, the point will seem to snap to the playhead. You can click to set the marker. Timeline markers appear green and are set for a specific point in time on your movie's entire timeline. They ignore the movement of individual movie clips on that timeline.
