Stitching clips and still frames

- [Narrator] Let's learn the editing technique called stitching. Now you've already seen stitching in action whenever you've made a selection and then performed a ripple delete by pressing ctrl + delete. The two clips are automatically stitched back together. Now you can see this right in the middle of the split where the two clips look like they've got these diagonal stitches that join the two clips together. Now a stitch clip acts as if it were a single clip. If you drag either clip along the timeline, the two clips will now move together as if they were one clip. Now you can un-stitch a pair of clips by moving your play head back over top of the split and then pressing the s key in order to perform a split edit. The two clips once again move as individuals. Now if you prefer not having your clips not automatically stitched together whenever you perform a ripple cut, then open your preferences with ctrl + , and on the program tab uncheck the option for enable auto stitching.
