- [Instructor] Another important consideration before recording your videos is your recording equipment. The main considerations for this include a microphone and potentially a webcam. Sound is perhaps the most important part of a quality video and you're going to want to make sure that you have quality sound. I want to repeat that. Sound is perhaps the most important part of a quality video. Now, in order to get quality sound, I recommend looking into purchasing a microphone. Most people use built-in microphones on their computer. However, they normally don't provide much quality. A great way to drastically improve your videos is to get a decent microphone. My recommendation would be to purchase a USB microphone, which plugs directly into your computer's USB port and then allows you to record it.
