Handling mistakes

- [Voiceover] We all make mistakes, but by following a few simple rules during recording, we can make it relatively easy to fix those mistakes and end up with a professional looking and sounding screencast. First, before you start recording, make sure that you have a clean starting state for your document. That way, if you need to start over, you can quickly and easily get back to the starting state for your project file. For instance, I'll typically go into my Documents folder and press Command + Shift + N on the keyboard to create a new folder and call it Backups. Then, I'll hold down the Option key on my keyboard and drag a copy of my project file into that Backups folder. Notice that when I hover my mouse over top of the folder I get a green icon with a plus indicating that I'm gonna make a copy into this new location. Now you know you're covered. If you have to start over, you can always delete the file that's on your Desktop by selecting it and pressing Command + Delete to throw…
