- [Instructor] We all make mistakes, but by following a few simple rules during the recording process, you can make it relatively easy on yourself to fix those mistakes and end up with a much more professional looking and sounding screen cast in the end. First, before beginning to record, make sure that you have a clean copy for the starting state of your document. That way, if you do need to start over, you can quickly and easily get back to that starting state for your project file without a whole lot of work. To do this, simply right click on the project file, make a copy of it, then open your Windows Explorer and navigate to a folder that's not going to appear in your recording. Right click, and paste that in there. Then when you're going through making your recording, if something does go wrong, you can simply stop the recording, take the document that you were working on, throw it in the recycle bin, and then make a new copy of your backup and paste it back into place.
