Creating a custom device frame

- [Instructor] Device frames are a fun little effect in Camtasia, but the options are limited. If the device or orientation you're looking for isn't available, you can create your own device frame from an image or video of a TV, laptop, phone, even a billboard or a storefront. For your custom device frame, you'll want to choose a stable and square shot like this stock photo. Next, extend the clip for the duration of your media. Resize and reposition your device frame to fill the canvas. Then create an inverted mask to punch a hole in the device frame. Select visual effects, choose mask, and apply it to your frame. From the dropdown, choose rectangle, invert the mask, then reposition it to fit your device frame. Select it, reposition, and resize. It doesn't have to be perfect. Finally, scale and reposition your media to fit your custom device frame. Select the media, resize it, and reposition. Then preview.
