Join Chris Mattia for an in-depth discussion in this video Canvas basics, part of Camtasia 2018 Essential Training.
- [Instructor] Now let's turn our attention to…the upper right region of our screen…which is called the canvas.…Imagine a beautiful painting hanging on your wall.…The canvas is where the paint is applied…and it's represented by this thin gray box…that surrounds your image.…Now anything inside this box will appear in your file movie…as your work of art.…The area outside the box is the wall that the canvas…is hanging on.…Previously, we saw that if you click on an object…on your canvas, you can manipulate its size,…position and rotation by using the control handles…for the clip.…
With the object selected, if you click on the crop tool,…the selection handles will become rectangles…instead of round dots.…Now if you drag those selection handles,…you can crop in on a portion of the image.…Click the arrow tool to return back to the normal mode…and to get quick access to the crop tool…when an object is selected, simply hold down the alt key…on your keyboard to enter the quick crop mode.…You can now readjust your crop and then when you release…
