À la carte vs. packages

- Let's start talking about actual pricing and the contents of essentially the menu that you're going to offer. Now there are two ways to look at pricing as a photographer. One is a la carte, the other is to build packages. By offering packages you help raise the dollar amount per sale and you also help increase your profitability. For one thing offering a package increases the average sale, so the number that you're bringing in, in terms of revenue per client is higher than if they were just buying a la carte and buying a single print for example. The next real benefit is that packages, and by offering a package you're increasing flexibility. You can move things in and out of that package and make it look more attractive. You can add things to it that become more unique and essentially what you're offering is something that your competition has a harder time trying to match.
