- As you playback images on your Sony a7 series camera, there's a lot of things that you could do to change the views on the camera. And this is done by just pressing the Display Mode button. Let's invoke playback, and you see it brings up the images that we've recently shot. Now, I'm seeing quite a bit of information overlay. I could tell the date, information about the aperture and shutter speed, as well as ISO, and get some general information about the quality of the file, as you see across the top. If I press the Display mode button again, well, those histograms really come into play. And now you see extra stuff, like the focal length of the lens, and if there was any exposure compensation, or how the scene was metered. All of this comes in handy if you're trying to learn from a problem in your scene. For example, sometimes you might be looking at the shot, and it doesn't feel quite right.
