Welcome

- The Sony A7 series contains full frame mirrorless cameras that work for a wide range of shooting styles. Whether you're looking for a high resolution body, extreme low light performance, or a more balanced approach, you'll find the different models may meet your needs. The A7 series is designed to appeal to both professional photographers and experienced enthusiasts alike. By capturing a 14-bit RAW file, there's quite a bit of information to work with. Hi, my name is Rich Harrington and I'd like to welcome you to this course where we're going to take a detailed look at the A7 series. We'll explore all of the essential controls so you can get up and running with a Sony A7 camera. It's important that you understand your gear if you want to consistently make great photos. Sure, you could put the camera in auto mode and trust that you can get pretty good shots from a technical point of view most of the time. But there are lots of shooting situations that can confuse a camera. For example, maybe it's a low light shooting situation or a fast-moving subject, or mixed lighting. By knowing how to take precise control over your camera and all of its settings, you can get the best results. In this course, we'll explore the most critical features of your Sony A7 series camera. We'll get to know the features that any beginner or intermediate photographer will need to know. You'll learn about the different shooting modes offered by the camera, as well as how to shoot specialty things like HDR and panoramic photos. We'll also explore video, including both HD and 4K video, for the cameras that support it. And we'll show you how to make sure to share your photos and take advantage of some of the options that are built into the camera for wireless connectivity. Now, most importantly, you'll learn how to adjust all of the essential camera settings for specific situations to ensure that you get the best exposure and critical focus. Keep in mind that this is not a photography class. Rather, it's a class to teach you about your camera. What we will cover is a detailed look at the Sony A7 series camera. This class will help you learn how to use your camera and its many settings. So, go get your camera and keep it close by so you can get hands-on as we explore its many features and controls.
